Early Decision Program

The Early Decision Program (EDP) allows you to apply exclusively to Wayne State University School of Medicine for the opportunity for early acceptance to medical school.

The EDP requires a minimum Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) score above the 80th percentile. A BCPM and overall grade point average of 3.75, as calculated by American College Application Service (AMCAS), is also required.

Important Dates: 

  • Prospective students interested in the EDP must apply through AMCAS by August 2nd. 
  • Due to COVID-19, students may take the MCAT by August 7th and still apply for the program. 
  • Applicant interviews will be conducted in September for qualified EDP applicants.
  • An admissions decision will be made for EDP applicants no later than October 1st.
