Early Decision Program
The Early Decision Program (EDP) allows a prospective student to apply exclusively to Wayne State University School of Medicine for the opportunity for early acceptance to medical school.
The EDP requires a minimum Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) score above the 70th percentile. A BCPM and overall grade point average of 3.70, as calculated by American College Application Service (AMCAS), is also required.
- Prospective students interested in the EDP must apply through AMCAS by August 3.
- Due to COVID, students may take the MCAT up to August 3 and still apply for the program.
- Applicant interviews will be conducted in August and September for qualified EDP applicants.
- An admissions decision will be made for EDP applicants no later than October 1.
