Steps to complete admissions
Take the MCAT
All applicants to the M.D. program at the Wayne State University School of Medicine must take the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®). While we do not impose any minimum MCAT or GPA requirements, strong academic performance can strengthen your application.
The MCAT, developed by the AAMC, assesses your understanding of natural and social sciences as well as your ability to think critically and solve problems—skills essential for success in medical school.
Learn more about MCAT timing, score policies, and deadlines on our policy page.
