Steps to complete admissions
AMCAS application
All applicants to the Wayne State University School of Medicine must apply through the American Medical College Application Service® (AMCAS®), a centralized application system managed by the AAMC.
Be sure to view the Navigating the 2026 AMCAS Application Cycle for Applicants video by AAMC and also make sure to designate Wayne State University School of Medicine as one of your selected schools when completing your AMCAS submission.
Before you begin
- Create an AAMC account if you haven’t already
- Gather your transcripts and letters of recommendation
- Be prepared to list your work and activities
- Write and review your personal statement
