Steps to complete admissions

Schedule and prepare for your virtual interview

The Admissions Committee at Wayne State University School of Medicine will select candidates to interview who have completed a secondary application and submitted valid MCAT scores along with letters of recommendation.

There is no guarantee of an interview and an invitation to interview does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants who do not complete the interview process are not moved along further in the admissions process and will be rejected from the application pool.

  • There are three (3) types of interviews—all virtual and mandatory—including a faculty interview, a medical student interview, and up to five Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) stations.
  • Interviews are virtual through AMP, our application portal platform.
  • Interviews occur on Mondays and Fridays in morning and afternoon sessions, with occasional Wednesday sessions.
