Student organizations
Options are nearly endless for our students interested in helping shape the present and future of their medical school. You can be as involved as you wish at the Wayne State University School of Medicine by joining one or more of 80 student organizations, where there truly is something for everyone who wants to collaborate with classmates in the name of community service and outreach, personal culture, medical specialties and more. For information about all student organization events, please visit Get Involved.

Clinics
School of Medicine students work with leading clinicians and biomedical scientists who take you out of the classroom right to the communities where it will make a difference. Our students continuously recognize community and world needs and devise methods to address those needs, from our Street Medicine Detroit group, which sees medical students provide care for the homeless on the streets of Detroit, to creating the annual World AIDS Day Detroit program to spotlight the need for education and testing for a vulnerable population.
