Biography
Mr. Ryan Wiseman is a University Counselor II, joining the SOM Office of Student Affairs in June 2023. Ryan spent 4 years working on main campus in Student Disability Services as a Disability Specialist, where he was specifically tasked in accommodating deaf and hard of hearing students as well as providing general executive functioning support.
Prior to working in Student Disability Services Ryan spent two years at Eastern Michigan University supporting a general caseload of students with disabilities, but also provided specific, wholistic support to students on the autism spectrum. Ryan obtained his MSW from the University of Michigan. Ryan is skilled in generalized academic support and stress management, but specializes in supporting neurodivergent students. To unwind Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, running, reading, and playing various musical instruments.
