Michael Webber, PhD

Biography

Dr. Michael Webber is a University Counselor III with 34 years of experience with WSU SoM, OSA. He obtained his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from WSU Department of Psychology. His dissertation research focused on medical students’ interpersonal relationship skill development in the clinical setting. In addition, he holds Masters degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Developmental Psychology. He completed his practicum training at the Northeast Guidance Center in Detroit, MI and is a Limited Licensed Psychologist. He has served as Director of Counseling Services in the OSA since 2003. He has expertise in areas of personality assessment in relation to medical student specialty selection and enjoys working with medical students in areas of professional identity and career development. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, BBQ, live concerts, kayaking, fishing, and time with friends.
