Online ordering: Caps and Gowns

Select “Wayne State Gown/Hood/Soft Tam/Tassel – Rental”
The Tam/Hood/Gown rental cost is $115.00
Enter your sizing information, including height in feet and inches (example: 5’9”) and weight (please indicate lbs or kgs)
Enter your first and last name, WSU email, phone number (with area code) and address (note: all orders will be shipped to the School of Medicine)
You will receive a complimentary Medical Green tassel with your cap and gown order. The tassel purchase option is only for ordering additional tassels for $5.00 each
Click “Add to Cart” (the page will not advance)
Look to the left side of the screen to view the cart and click on it to open
If your information is correct, click “Checkout.” If not, click the “X” and re-enter your information
Complete the purchase using secure checkout with VISA, Mastercard, AMEX or Discover credit cards

All orders placed online must be paid in full at checkout.

Deadline dates

Regalia must be ordered by Wednesday, March 18 to avoid a late fee

Orders placed after March 18 will incur a $30.00 late fee
If you are no longer able to attend commencement, please contact Student Affairs to cancel your order.

Cap and gown pickup

Regalia, honor cords and class composites will be available for pickup at the School of Medicine.

Dates: Thursday and Friday, April 23 and April 24
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: 325 Mazurek Computer Lab

• Take your family pictures early because all regalia must be returned immediately after the ceremony.

Cap and gown return - Take Photos Early!

Graduates are encouraged to take photos with family prior to the ceremony. Following the ceremony, graduates will be led directly to the backstage area to return regalia and will not be able to interact with guests after the ceremony.
