Ceremony schedule

Arrival
We ask that you arrive at the Fox Theatre no later than 12:30 p.m. All Faculty must use the noted entrance located on Montcalm St. This entrance is located directly across from the Fox Theatre parking structure. Academic Regalia will be delivered directly to the Fox Theatre. There will be staff there to assist you with robing. After you have picked up your regalia and are properly robed, you will be seated until the procession begins. All faculty must be robed and in the line of march no later than 12:50 p.m.

All academic regalia orders will be delivered to the Fox Theatre. Regalia ordering instructions are contained within the RSVP form.
Parking
General parking for Commencement will be available in the Fox Theater Parking Structure. The structure is located at 50 W. Montcalm. We have complimentary parking passes for faculty. These passes will be sent via email approximately a week before the Ceremony. Just scan the parking pass from your cell phone at the payment kiosk upon entering the structure (or you can print it out).
Accessible parking
Handicapped parking is also available in the Fox Theater structure. These parking spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis to guests with the appropriate disabled permit and a state-issued license plate or placard.
Traffic
Expect busier-than-usual conditions on the freeways and surface streets near the Fox Theatre before and after the ceremony. You are encouraged to arrive early to reduce traffic congestion. Before you leave for Commencement, visit michigan.gov/mdot to check for closures and detours. On your way to the Fox Theater, tune in to WWJ-AM 950 for current traffic information.
