The Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) Business Office provides budgetary, procurement, and personnel support for the Undergraduate Medical Education Program. The UME Program consists of these units: Academic and Student Programs; Enrollment Management; The Office of Learning and Teaching; Continuous Quality Improvement and Testing, Medical Education Research; Medical Student Services; Learning Spaces and Support; The Kado Family Clinical Skills Center; Medical Education Support Group; Records and Registration; Student Affairs; Design Services/Digital Imaging and Audio Visual/Media Productions.
The UME Business office provides full-service procurement support for products and services as well as equipment service contracts and licenses. We offer budget consultation and analysis, financial reports, and support for business systems, including TravelWayne, Wayne Buy, and the Procard Transaction Management System. We also provide personnel consultation and support involving staffing, training, development, salary administration, payroll, performance management, and the annual review process for employees in Cornerstone, offboarding, onboarding, position management, HR reporting, and EDSW processing for new appointments, labor changes, and other personnel and position statuses. The Business Office also provides guidance on shipping, receiving, and office supplies and equipment inquiries.
The UME Business office also acts as the liaison to SOM Fiscal Affairs, the Health Affairs Region Human Resources office and other University business units.
