Wayne State University’s Wayne Med-Direct is a premier B.S./B.A. to M.D. pipeline program tailored for high-achieving students dedicated to reducing health disparities in urban communities. Each year, up to 10 students are chosen for this highly competitive program, receiving unparalleled access to mentorship, research, and hands-on clinical experiences. Why Wayne Med-Direct?

✔ Pathway to medical school – Selected students gain admission to Wayne State’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) and Irvin D. Reid Honors College, with admission interview consideration to the Wayne State University School of Medicine upon meeting program criteria.

✔ Full financial support – Students receive four years of covered undergraduate tuition, room and board, and four years of paid medical school tuition (subject to eligibility and admission).
