Wayne State University School of Medicine students learn from and connect with physicians and biomedical scientists who are leading the way in health care leadership, patient care, research and innovation, and advocacy. 

Our more than 2,000 full-time and volunteer faculty members are deeply invested in the success of our Warrior M.D. students, providing mentorship, support, clinical skills and education that prepares our students for the rigors of the medical field while instilling a strong sense of social responsibility.

Dr. Dena Nazer, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics, leads the Wayne State Empowerment of Academicians in Medicine (WE AIM) program, a groundbreaking initiative supporting faculty development, particularly for those underrepresented in medicine.
