Wireless Connections

Wayne State offers wireless Internet connectivity inside most buildings on main campus. Access is also available at the Oakland Center and the Macomb Education Center.

SOM Campus

The WSUPG-SECURE wireless network encrypts your data from your computer to the wireless access point. MSIS strongly recommend that you use WSUPG-SECURE it’s a safer way to browse the Internet.

WSUPG-SECURE can and should be used if you have a Med School ID (jdoe@med.wayne.edu).

  • Wi-Fi Settings > Select WSUPG-SECURE
  • Username: (Use Med School ID (jdoe) and Password)
  • Accept/Trust security certificate

WSU-GUEST can be used if you DON’T have a Med School ID.

  • Wi-Fi Settings > select WSU-GUEST
  • Accept/Trust security certificate
  • Read the Guest Wireless Acceptable Use Policy
  • Then Select > Accept
