Office of Medical Education

The Wayne State University School of Medicine is dedicated to educating physicians to provide compassionate, leading-edge care to the residents of Michigan.

The Office of Medical Education strives to create an outstanding learning environment. Our medical student curriculum is comprised of six competencies that align with the core competencies of the graduate medical education programs. We provide services to faculty and students to enhance the curriculum and the learning experience, including standardized patient and clinical simulation programs.

The Office of Student Affairs and Career Development provide student-centered personal and academic support, including extensive mentoring and specialty career advising programs. Through more than 60 student organizations and five free clinics, our medical students provide more than 50,000 annual service hours to the Detroit community through partnerships with numerous community-based organizations.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education provides relevant and timely medical education to practicing physicians in our hospitals and our community.
