School of Medicine students shine at WSU 2017 Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Symposium

The Wayne State University Graduate School 2017 Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Symposium held March 8 at the McGregor Conference Center hosted more than 160 poster presentations from postdoctoral scholars, doctoral and master's students.

Research experience and productivity are keys to success, building new knowledge to improve science, health, and society as well as opening new doors to students through networking opportunities, organizers said.
Several winners were announced at the end of the day, with prizes for first place ($500), second place ($300) and third place ($200) posters distributed.

There were more than 40 awards given across disciplines. WSU School of Medicine-based winners included:
