Biography

Kimberly J. Snell serves as the Supervisor of Standardized Patient Education. She joined the Kado team in September of 2015. In this role, she manages, trains and supports the standardized patients.

Prior to joining the program, she worked for 16 years with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. She served as lead trainer in the HIV/AIDS Section for many years. She was very instrumental in adapting THE SISTA PROJECT for Ethiopian women in the Amhara Region. THE SISTA PROJECT is a gender relevant and culturally appropriate social skills training intervention for African American women. As a Master Trainer of this intervention, she traveled to Ethiopia and delivered a series of train-the-trainer sessions. As a result, THE SISTA PROJECT has become a national program, implemented in all nine regions.
