Erin Miller, M.D.
Biography
Dr. Miller has worked in the Kado Clinical Skills Center since 2018, serving first as Assistant Course Director, and then as Course Director for the Segment One Clinical Skills Course. She was in that position until 2024, when she transitioned to the role of Medical Director of the Clinical Skills Center. In this role, she coordinates the clinical skills course work across the four segments of the undergraduate medical curriculum, engages the center's numerous stakeholders to provide excellent educational experiences, and manages quality improvement efforts for the center. She is involved with other aspects of the medical curriculum serving as a small group facilitator for the Population, Patient, Physician and Professionalism (P4) course, a Continuity Experiential Clerkship preceptor, a First Patient Project mentor, and as a session director for the Transition to Residency course. Dr. Miller also volunteers as a preceptor at the Robert R. Frank Student Run Free Clinic. In 2019 she received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Faculty Award.
Since graduating from residency, Dr. Miller has remained dedicated to primary care. For the first six years of her career, she practiced internal medicine and pediatrics at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Detroit. In 2024, Dr. Miller joined the Academic Internal Medicine group at Henry Ford. There, she continues to provide exceptional care to the Detroit community while also teaching third year Wayne State medical students and residents in Henry Ford's internal medicine program.
When not at work, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, weekly bar trivia games, and catching up on the latest Real Housewives episodes.
