Orthopaedic Surgery

Gregory Zemenick, M.D. ’71, P.C., is a board-certified family orthopedic surgeon with William Beaumont Hospital and Beaumont Orthopaedic Center. He is a member of Troy Orthopaedic Associates.

Dr. Zemenick completed a residency at William Beaumont Hospital in 1976, then formed Troy Orthopaedic Associates.

He is on the orthopedic surgery program faculty and staff at Beaumont Health System, specializing in adult general orthopedics, and teaches orthopedic surgical anatomy for orthopedic surgery residents and general orthopedics for family practice residents.

Dr. Zemenick has been an active member of the WSU School of Medicine Board of Governors since 2003, serving as president (2010 to 2011) and treasurer (2012 to 2015). He became a member of the School of Medicine’s Board of Visitors in 2015. In addition to volunteering and traveling with the World Health Student Organization, Dr. Zemenick served as a volunteer orthopedic surgeon at Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Dr. Zemenick received the 2008 School of Medicine Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award, presented annually to one or more alumni who have made outstanding contributions to humanitarian causes, whose contributions to the health field in the broader sense are outstanding or for service to the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
