Dinner with a Doc

The WSU School of Medicine Dinner with a Doc program matches third year medical students with practicing physicians in the Detroit metro area.  Physicians host dinner for a current student in their home or restaurant.   The purpose of the program is to bring together current medical students and SOM alumni in an informal setting where they can learn more about specific specialties and receive practical tips and advice.

This program is a great opportunity for medical students to learn more about specific specialties and the practice of medicine in general.  It gives them an opportunity to ask questions about family life during the various stages of medical education and career and solicit tips and advice.

If you are a physician in the Detroit metro area and want to participate in the Dinner with a Doc program, please complete the Dinner With a Doc Physician Interest Form.  If you are a third year medical student interested in participating, please complete the DWD Student Interest Form. Please contact the Alumni Affairs Office at 313-577-1380 or alumni@med.wayne.edu with any additional questions.
