Our medical students engage in the community beyond the classroom. Wayne State University School of Medicine is home to over 70 student organizations. Our medical students are able to take advantage of these resources and contribute to Wayne State University School of Medicine’s vibrant extracurricular community.
Leadership positions are available and medical students invest their energies in the activities they choose. Students do not need to be president of an organization. Some students are already involved in volunteer activities through their own community associations. It is also valuable to continue participating in those activities during medical school. These can also be added to your curriculum vitae (CV)as part of your professional record.
