Specialty:
General Surgery

Clinical Interest:
Oncologic, gastrointestinal, trauma, hepatobiliary, bariatric, laparoscopic and general surgery
Laparoscopic bariatric surgery
Image guided hepatic ablative procedures (radiofrequency ablation, cryosurgery)

Research Interest:
Microvascular response to inflammation, trauma and shock. Specifically we look at the microvascular events of pericytes and microvascular endothelial cells of the lung. Current experimentation centers around apoptosis of pericytes, mediator induced leakage of invitro pericyteendothelial cocultures, and mechanisms of regulation of pericyte contractility, all in response to an inflammatory environment.
