Ras Marselis - The Millet Learning Center is a one of a kind center that provides services for children with learning inabilities.
This intermediate school provides care and teaching for the ages of 4 to 23 years. This learning center has a love for children and the heart to help.
Mr. Ras Marselis is a teacher at the Millet Learning Center. He teaches in a classroom with seven children between the ages of 8-13. Before he
became a teacher, he had never had a one on one encounter with special need children. When he accepted his job with the Millet Learning Center
seventeen years ago, he did not foresee how challenging this responsibility would be. As much as he has taught he has learned so much from the children
in his classroom. His seventeen years of experience has been very rewarding. He is happy to share his experience with medical students, parents, and
other teachers.
My Life With a Special Needs Child

premature. Her daughter was diagnosed with Wolf Hirschhorn syndrome, a chromosomal deletion of short arm of chromosome four (4p-). Her experience
with the health services has been both negative and positive. She is truly excited to share her journey as a parent of a special needs child.
