General Recommendations

  • When doing questions include questions from previously studied topics and incorrect questions along with unused questions from that days topic.
  • Schedule a practice test at the center where you will take the test.  You will have less anxiety on test day with familiar surroundings.

Books

  • I mainly used Kaplan and First Aid.  Kaplan was a bit too wordy in some places, especially the neuro section.  First Aid worked great.

Question Bank

  • Q-bank: I used Q-bank and loved it.

Schedule

  • I studied for 4.5 weeks.  My typical day was to get up and study for 3-4 hours.  I usually took about an hour for lunch and to space out in front of the TV.  I would then study for another 3-4 hours.  After this second block of studying I got some form of exercise every single day (usually a run).  In the evening I did questions for 2-3 hours, and then tried to go to bed at a reasonable hour.
