USMLE Registration
All medical students are required to take the United State Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE), Step 1, Step 2CK and Step 2CS. All Year II students must pass the Step 1 examination before they are eligible for promotion to Year III. Year IV students must take Step 2CK and report a passing score in order to be certified for graduation. Step 2CS must be taken by May 1st prior to certification of graduation. You must go the USMLE website to apply for all the exams. The Records and Registration Office must certify your certification page. The Records office will mail your certification page to USMLE. The certification page will be processed by the USMLE within 2-4 weeks. Your Scheduling Permit will be mailed directly to you by the USMLE. Once your scheduling permit is received, you must call Sylvan Learning Centers to schedule your exam appointment. Additional information is available at the USMLE website, www.nbme.org.
