At Wayne State University School of Medicine, registration for Year IV clerkships is open to senior level students in good standing, as certified by their respective school, enrolled in U.S. medical schools accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
International medical students and U.S. citizens enrolled in non-LCME accredited medical schools are required to provide proof of current personal health insurance, proof of passing Step I of the USMLE (National Board of Medical Examination), valid professional liability insurance, and verification of basic sciences and clinical preparation comparable to that of senior level students enrolled in LCME accredited medical schools. In addition, non-U.S. citizens are responsible for obtaining the appropriate U.S. study visas. Inquiries and requests for Guest Student applications should be addressed to:
