The 1999 Dean’s Distinguished Lecture will feature noted cell biologist/embryologist Keith Campbell, DPhil, whose laboratory created "Dolly," the Scottish sheep famed as the first mammal to be cloned from a single adult cell. This work touched off an international media frenzy and sparked controversy and debate regarding the ethics of cloning higher beings.
