Grant Award Management (Post-Award) Resources

The following links contain information pertaining to the management of research awards. These functions are provided by the WSU Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA).

Research awards are managed by WSU Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA).
Once an award is made, the investigator has a number of specific responsibilities, which are outlined in the Post-award Response Chart. (pdf format)

Responsibility for the budget is shared among the PI, the home department, the School of Medicine, and WSU Sponsored Programs Administration. Because the PI and the home department are responsible for any cost over-runs incurred, the use of a secondary accounting system (in addition to that used by SPA) is strongly encouraged.

The School of Medicine Office of Fiscal Affairs is a particular valuable resource for investigators.
