University Psychiatric Centers – Children’s Hospital

The mission of the Child Psychiatry/ Psychology division at Children’s Hospital of Michigan is to provide the state-of-the art diagnostic, treatment, and training for pediatric psychiatry and psychology that will bring the highest quality of mental health care to the community we serve.

Our division can be viewed as an integrated system comprised of three areas: clinical services, research and training.

The clinical services provided at our site include:

  • ADHD,
  • Autism and Neuro-psychology clinics,
  • consultation to specialty clinics within Children’s Hospital and
  • general psychiatric/ psychological outpatient services.

At this time, research at the Department of Child Psychiatry/Psychology includes:

  • NIH and other grants related to OCD,
  • Diabetes Adherence,
  • ADHD,
  • Mood Disorder,
  • Health Care Disparities, and
  • the Recruitment of Minorities for OCD treatment and research.

The training component of our division currently includes an APA approved pediatric psychology internship, post doctoral fellowship program and residency program.
