BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Lori Lackman Zeman, Ph.D. – (Chair) Dr. Zeman is director of Managed Care Services. Dr. Zeman received her doctorate at the University of Miami and completed her clinical internship at the University of Minnesota.

Alireza Amirsadri, M.D. – Dr. Amirsadri is director of the High Intervention Program, located at Detroit Receiving Hospital. Dr. Amirsadri received his medical degree from Tehran University and completed his residency at Sinai Hospital.

Beth Ann Brooks, M.D., M.S.A. – Dr Brooks is the Associate Chair for Education. Dr. Brooks also is the Director of the General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Programs. Dr. Brooks received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, did her residency training work at Layfette Clinic, and has a Masters in Health Services Administration.

Thomas Coles Jr., M.D., MHA – Dr. Coles has retired from clinical practice and is involved with several mental illness organizations including the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression. He received both his medical and master of hospital administration degrees from the University of Michigan.

Steven McArthur, Ph.D. - Dr. McArthur is a member of the Consultation Liaison group and Director of the Insomnia Program at Hutzel Hospital. Dr. McArthur received his doctorate at Southern Illinois University and completed a post-doctoral internship at Henry Ford Hospital.

Arthur Robin, Ph.D. – Dr. Robin is Co-director of the Developmental Neurosciences Research Division in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences. He received his doctorate at State University of New York, Stony Brook and completed a clinical internship at SUNY and Northport Veteran’s Hospital.

Manuel Tancer, M.D. – Dr. Tancer is the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences and Co-director of the Office of Education Training. Dr Tancer received his medical degree from University of Arizona and completed his residency at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
