Child and Adolescent Research Services within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences has developed a major research emphasis on basic and clinical research. 

Dr. David Rosenberg, Research Director, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, is a funded investigator with ongoing research grants and extensive research experience. He has published extensively in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. 

Research opportunities include psychopharmacologic, neuroimaging, neuropsychological and neurobehavioral studies in a variety of childhood onset neuropsychiatric disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, anxiety, autism, aggression, etc. Clinical, epidemiological and demographic research opportunities are also provided. Moreover, interested persons can discuss and develop research projects with Dr. Rosenberg and colleagues. 

A regular monthly clinical research conference related to childhood onset psychiatric disorders will be initiated (sponsored by SmithKline Beecham pharmaceuticals) to help interested students, residents, fellows and junior faculty develop clinical research questions and projects.
