NIMH COR
The purpose of the NIMH COR Program is to encourage underrepresented ethnic minority undergraduate students to pursue graduate/professional degrees leading to research careers in psychosocial, behavioral, neuroscience and neurobehavioral disciplines related to research in mental health and the treatment of mental illness.
Minority students (African American, Native American, Hispanic or Pacific islander) who are juniors at Wayne State University and majoring in psychology, biology, chemistry, sociology, anthropology or social work are eligible. Applicants must have a G.P.A. of at least 3.0 or better. Students who are accepted into the NIMH COR Program as Research Training Fellows will receive an annual fellowship stipend of $ 10,224 per year plus payment of tuition.
