Research:

"Our current NIH funded work focuses on mechanisms of cardiovascular control and arrhythmia suppression.  Specifically we are interested in understanding the changes that occur in cardiac innervation following spinal cord injury. This “cardiac re-wiring” is important for triggering arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death. We are investigating neuron remodeling, as well as neuronal proteins that synthesize, store, and remove norepinephrine.  In addition to our bench research, we are interested in how people learn."
