residents recognized, awarded by Pfizer Inc.
DETROIT – May 7, 2002 – Two Wayne State
University Psychiatry residents were recently chosen by Pfizer Inc. to represent
the Wayne State University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences
at the 155th annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association
(APA) May 18-23 in Philadelphia.
Pfizer Inc. generously awarded third-year
resident Dr. Varsha Karamchandani, of Troy, and fourth-year resident Dr. Susan
Redge, of Rochester Hills, with round-trip airfare to Philadelphia, payment of
the registration fee for the APA Annual Meeting, one night of hotel
accommodations and $750 each to assist in the coverage of their
expenses.
Candidates for this award are chosen because of
their outstanding level of dedication and commitment to the field of
psychiatry.
Selected residents will attend an award dinner
May 17 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.
