FUNCTIONAL AND STREOTACTIC SECTION

The Department has a program in the treatment of movement disorders, using the latest innovations. We have experience in the deep brain stimulation system, pallidotomies, thalamatomies and peripheral procedures for the subgroup of patients. Our we use our Leksell and Stealth systems, and other frameless approaches for the general neurosurgical population where indicated. We have an intraoperative MRI at Harper Hospital. Our endoscopic surgical procedures have found a solid role, both for pituitary disease, and in intraventricular approaches, including third ventriculostomies.
