Kenneth Casey, M.D.

Dr. Casey, board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, was trained as a neurosurgical generalist and has a special interest in neurotrauma, trigeminal neuralgia and minimally invasive spinal procedures. He has completed a Critical Care fellowship at New Jersey Medical School and has been appointed the Chief of Neurotrauma at Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Dr. Casey is a graduate of Georgetown University and New Jersey Medical School and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh under Dr. Peter Janetta.

Dr. Casey and his former Professor, Dr. Janetta, have developed a company, Janetta Clinics PC, that specializes in treating facial pain. Together with Dr. Janetta, Dr. Casey has performed over 7000 microvascular decompressions (MVD) for trigeminal neuralgia. Dr. Casey and Dr. Janetta will continue their collaboration in Detroit with Dr. Casey as the Chief Medical Officer of Janetta Clinics, PC.

Dr. Casey brings a wealth of experience to our department as an Associate Professor with over 30 publications and book chapters. He has a strong interest in resident education and continuing medical education

Dr. Casey has been happily married for 33 years and is the proud father of two children.
