students on round Wayne State University's Department of Neurology offers a wide range of educational programs from electives and lectures for medical students to grand rounds and the basic seminar series for health care professionals and researchers. Physicians enrolled within the Department of Neurology's residency and fellowship programs are exposed to the widest possible variety of patients, neurological problems, and clinical settings. Our residents understand the neuroscience that explains the diseases for which they provide treatment. All training – whether it is for medical students or health care professionals – is provided by experienced and supportive faculty. Graduate Ph.D. training is provided by faculty members with appointments in the Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics or the program in Cellular and Clinical Neurobiology.
