MSIS Networking Services also maintains the hardware and base system software for SoM Special Servers.  These servers typically consist of Application, Database and Web Servers.  In some cases, MSIS Networking Services also maintains some applications after the initial installation of services, such as the SoM Directory and Account Request applications.  The current database servers consist of Oracle and MS SQL which are managed in conjunction with the MSIS Systems Development group.  The current web servers consist of the main SoM Web server which is managed by the Web and Digital Communications group and special web-based application systems what typically don't require management other than vendor specified changes.  MSIS Networking Services also currently manages the SoM Streaming Audio/Video server.
