Remote Desktop Support

There are some workstations that do not have the SoM Workstation Management Software installed, or the system is on a network segment protected by a firewall.  The remote desktop software will allow a technician to connect to your system remotely and assist you with your computer problem.

To open a remote assistance session, select your computer operating system and follow the steps below:

Step 1: Click here to install the MSIS VNC software on your computer.
Step 2: Click the Open or Run button on the download dialog.
Step 3: Click the Yes button on the security dialog.
Step 4: Enter the IP address that the technician provides into the MSIS Remote Support Window.
Step 5: Click the Connect button.

After the session is complete, click the Disconnect button.

Step 1: Click here to download OSXvnc and save to desktop.
Step 2: Double click OSXvnc application on your desktop.
Step 3: Click "Connect to Client"
Step 4: Enter the IP address that the technician provides into the Host field.
Step 5: Click the "Start Server" button.

After the session is complete, click the "Stop Server" button, close OSXvnc and drag to trash if no longer needed.
