Study Tips
The real key to success in medical school is getting organized and having a plan. Finding a system that works for you is important and sticking to it. Find friends to review with, it makes learning so much easier. Here are some other tips:
- create a folder for each class for each test
- use sticky tabs to mark each lecture
- buy a small white board and use it to keep drawing out pathways or diagrams, use all your senses to learn and understand the material
- after each days lecture review only that days material and try to memorize key points
- spend your weekend reviewing the weeks material and rememorize that material
- on the weekend do questions for the material of the week
- make a study plan at least a week before an exam to review all the material
- before the exam do as many practice exams as possible
- leave the last 2 days before an exam to review the really difficult material
- KEY: YOU MUST REVIEW THE MATERIAL AT LEAST 3 TO 5 TIMES BEFORE THE EXAM
