Current activity: After completing my graduate degree, I have held a variety of positions in the Biotech / Pharmaceutical Industries & with the Federal Government. I've worked as a bench scientist in Drug Discovery with a Pharmaceutical Company (Parke-Davis), in Technical Services at an injectable drug manufacturing plant (also Parke-Davis), in Clinical Research / Product Development with a Biotech Start-up that was developing a device for growing bone marrow intended for patients undergoing bone marrow transplant (Aastrom Biosciences) and a fairly long stint (well for me anyway!) as an Investigator with the US Food and Drug Administration, out of both the Detroit & Grand Rapids, MI offices. In February of 2003 I left government service & returned to industry. I currently work in the Compliance Quality Assurance group at Access Business Group, a manufacturer of personal care & topical drug products.

Personal: After living in Royal Oak for 10 years, I up and left for west Michigan, just over three years ago. I now live in Hudsonville, a small town ~15 miles southwest of Grand Rapids, MI. My family includes Brian & our daughters, Meredith, who is 6 (and a half, she'll remind you!) and Hannah, who will be 5 in February (she'll remind you of that too!). We live in an old house with lots of "character" (a.k.a money pit), so we spend most of our spare time at Lowe's. When I am not at Lowe's, or at some kid-related event, I enjoy aerobic exercise & weight training, reading & teaching Sunday school to a really fun group of 1st graders. This summer we helped build a new church - check it out at www.bollc.org.
