Current activity: I am pursuing a career in Coral Reef Biology at NIUST. There is a pressing need to conserve the worlds' coral reefs as global warming and disease are decimating coral populations worldwide. My task will be to determine the host-pathogen interactions that are causing disease on corals in the Caribbean. As virtually nothing is known about the interactions between corals and the bacteria that are infecting them, there is much to be done in this field.

Personal: I am currently engaged to be married and Teresa will be joining me in Mississippi. We enjoy mountain biking, hiking, video games, fishing, Jeepin' and drinking (A good weekend encompasses all of these hobbies). We plan on taking it easy in Mississippi and doing a fair amount of outdoor activities while there.
