The Gold Humanism Honor Society at Wayne State University School of Medicine was founded in 2005 by Brendan Byrne, Chih Chuang, Roman Czubatyj, Minda Patt, Jenese Reynolds, and Kristoffer Sugg.

The
Arnold P. Gold Foundation was founded in 1988 by
Drs. Arnold and Sandra Gold at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. It is dedicated to encouraging physicians and physicians in training to incorporate “cutting edge medicine with the high touch skills of effective communication, empathy, and compassion.”
