The Department of Family Medicine
and Public Health Sciences
seeks:
Endowed Professorships and/or Chairs in the specific areas of Practice-based Research,
Medical Student Education, Medical Education Research, and Occupational and Environmental
Health. These endowments will effectively ensure that these critical leadership positions
are retained at Wayne state University.
The Wayne State University Medical Alumni Endowed Chair of Family
Medicine is seeking additional funds to meet current and anticipated
obligations.
Endowed programs are welcome, and I will gladly discuss any program
that is relevant to an academic-based Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences.
Gifts:
The department has established gift accounts in the areas of education
and research. Restricted and unrestricted gifts are welcome. For example,
a recent gift to the education fund allowed us to pilot an interdisciplinary
education program that explores issues related to physicians and cultural
diversity. Further, gifts are welcome in support of student and resident
awards/scholarships in the donor's interest area.
