Departmental Role

As a clinician-educator in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences, my contribution has been directed at clinical practice, teaching, and practice-based research. My practice is serving a diverse patient population, including African-Americans, Arabs, Asians, in particular Chinese, in addition to Caucasians. My research focus is in practice-based research, especially in women's health, men’s health, health disparity, and cancer treatment decision-making. I am currently on editorial board of Family Practice. The majority of my teaching occurs in outpatient office through individual precepting of residents and medical students.
