Departmental Role:
I have recently joined the Department in conjunction with my appointment
in the Communication and Behavioral Oncology Program at the Karmanos
Cancer Institute. I expect to use my training and experience in personality
and social psychology, research design and methodology, and statistics
in behavioral research concerned with improving the quality of health
care for underserved and disadvantaged populations. I have begun collaborations
in this area with other members of the Department. I would also expect
that I will be able to contribute in a similar way to the education
of medical students.
