Departmental Role

My primary role is that of directing the Year III Family Medicine Clerkship. In this capacity I coordinate the development and implementation of this core rotation to ensure a superior learning experience for all Wayne State University medical students on Family Medicine. I serve as the faculty advisor for the Family Medicine Interest Group and provide medical student advising and mentorship throughout all years of training. Beyond the clerkship, my teaching responsibilities include small group instruction in the Clinical Medicine I course and precepting in the Student Run Free Clinic. My research and scholarly focus is on undergraduate medical education. I am committed to providing students with a solid understanding of Family Medicine, fostering discernment in specialty selection, and promoting their professional development.
