Departmental Role

  • Use the knowledge I have gained from my 33 years of experience in occupational & environmental health to promote a healthy and safe working and everyday living environment.
  • Take an active role in teaching the various occupational and environmental health courses and seminars offered by our division.
  • Take an active role in local, national and international research conducted by the division.
  • Build research collaborations with local community non-profit organizations and with academic institutes at the international level, in particular among Middle East countries.
  • Primary Research Interests fall in two areas, Iraqi refugees and immigrant health disorders and the impact of water-pipe (hookah) smoking on the health of smokers at the level of local, national and international.
