Conferences

The Sinai-Grace EM Grand Round Series and Journal Club are approved CME category 1 presentations that cover the Model of Practice of Emergency Medicine over a 24 month period.  Emphasis is placed on topics in accordance to the number of test items likely to be presented on the National Board Exam for that topic. Grand Rounds occurs every Thursday morning, 8am to 1PM. The conference is held most weeks on the 5th floor of the Lourdes Building/Sinai-Grace Hospital, with occasional off site locations.

Journal Club is the Fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm.  Site is variable, and usually outside the hospital at a local restaurant or physician's home.  This event presents a review of current literature, while emphasizing for the residents means to evaluate the structure and quality/usefullness of the given articles.  This provides instruction in the critical review of the literature, which will the residents are expected to master for their future personal life long education program.
