Accreditation
Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center residency program in Emergency Medicine is a fully accredited program.
American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation status: Continued Accreditation granted December 2, 2005
Our last Residency Review Committee (RRC) site visit was held March 30, 2005 .
We were granted full accreditation and were chosen to participate in an Emergency Medicine Pilot Project being conducted by the ACGME looking at extending the length between site survey cycles. As such, our program's approximate date of next site visit is September, 2013.
As a separate issue, the ACGME completed an Institutional Site Review of the Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center graduate medical education programs on November 14, 2006 .
The results of this review by the Institutional Review Committee of the ACGME:
- Continued Accreditation Status
- Cycle Length of Accreditation is 2.0 Years
- Next approximate date for an Institutional Review is November 2008.
