Hutchinson Fracture

The Hutchinson fracture involves a fracture of the radial styloid process. This intra-articular fracture usually begins at the junction of the lunate and scaphoid fossae on the radial articular surface and extends laterally. It is also referred to as a Chauffer's fracture, since many years ago, the injury occured from a direct blow to the wrist from the backfiring of the starting crank of an automobile.
